Portishead have decided to warm-up for their headline spot at Latitude this weekend with an appearance at Cardiff University later this week.

The gig has been scheduled for July 16th, two days before the band tops Latitude in Suffolk on Saturday, July 18th. Also leading the bill are Alt-J and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, while the likes of Wild Beasts, Manic Street Preachers and The Vaccines are due to visit Henham Park too.

“Every year I challenge myself to build on previous summers and make each festival even better than the one before,” organiser Melvin Benn said when the line-up was confirmed in March.

“With the start of a new decade for Latitude, I wanted to bring something really fresh and new to Henham and I think we’ve done just that. We’ve added a whole new spa area, Solas, offering massages and treatments alongside hot tubs and installations, which will all turn into a late night party area for festival-goers to discover after sunset.”
