Blur have picked Courtney Barnett to support them on two high profile US gigs in October.
The band play Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on October 20th and move across country to Madison Square Garden in New York on October 23rd when we now know they’ll be backed by the Australian singer-songwriter who released debut album ‘Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit’ earlier this year, of which our review reads:
“If this all sounds a bit open mike night at the Coffee Hut, there are also moments of real conquest, the hallucinogenic scratches and balletic tension of ‘Kim’s Caravan‘ being most prevalent amongst them, along with the recherché blues of ‘Small Poppies‘, both skeletal tales which transform her into a Melbournian Polly Harvey on a budget.”
