The Foo Fighters have seemingly confirmed their North American tour will go ahead as scheduled despite the broken foot suffered by Dave Grohl in Sweden almost a month ago now.

The injury put an end to the band’s chances of headlining last weekend’s Glastonbury festival, though they are hot favourites to fulfill the booking in a year’s time. “After undergoing surgery Monday, Dave’s full recuperation time is still to be determined,” a statement said.

“It was previously announced that Foo Fighters’ June 14 appearance at the Pinkpop Festival and June 16 show at the AFG Arena in St. Gallen, Switzerland were cancelled.”

However, any subsequent doubts about the US and Canadian tour look to have been put to bed thanks to a quick tweet on the band’s official feed yesterday (June 29th) which is below.

The dates then should begin as scheduled in Washington D.C on July 4th, continuing on through to October after a quick visit to Asia later next month.
