The Cribs performed a brief cover of Queen‘s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody‘ as they headlined this year’s Live At Leeds festival on Saturday (May 2nd).

Playing at the Leeds Town Hall, the Jarman brothers aired the opening gambit of Queen’s monster hit 1975 single before launching into their own ‘Finally Free‘ – the opener of the recent ‘For All My Sisters‘ LP. You can watch fan footage of the performance below.

“Ocasek has brought a slight sheen to the production, but in saying that it must be remembered The Cribs are no longer a ramshackle bunch of kids from Wakefield, recording by the seat of their pants,” we said of ‘For All My Sisters’.

“These are wonderful and accomplished musicians, so recording an album well surely isn’t unexpected considering the last three records they have made have sounded much the same.”
