Once again Slash proved he is still one of the most powerful forces in rock music.  A sold out crowd at the House of Blues, Houston were treated to 20 songs from throughout Slash’s career including all the favorites from Guns N’ Roses and his post-Guns work.

Myles Kennedy provided the perfect vocal complement to Slash helping the crowd forget all about that missing guy named Axl.  Bassist Todd Kerns  got in on the action as well, providing lead vocals for “Welcome To The Jungle” and a couple of other songs.  The highlight of the night was a nearly ten-minute solo for “Rocket Queen” that left the crowd reeling.  Slash made it look just as easy as it should be for the ultimate guitar hero.

Slash recently opened up to ‘CBS This Morning’ about a possible GNR reunion and had this to say:

“It’s been one of those things that’s been talked about by everybody but us for over the last 18, 19 years,” he said. “A lot of the tension that you were talking about has dissipated. We don’t have all those issues anymore. It’s not a lot of controversy. It’s something that is more perpetuated by the media, more than anything.”

“I got to be careful what I say. I mean, if everybody wanted to do it and do it for the right reasons, I think the fans would love it. I think it might be fun at some point to try and do that. Never say never.”
