Franz Ferdinand and Sparks brought their new collaboration FFS to UK television screens for the first time last night (May 5th).

The bands have joined forces for an album which will also be entitled ‘FFS‘, and performed two tracks on Later…With Jools Holland yesterday. If you’re able to, check out a video of ‘Johnny Delusional‘ below.

“We approached it the way bands do with their first,” Alex Kapranos has said. “We had the songs first, rehearsed them and then recorded it all together, in a room. So no hanging around or fannying about. The real motivation was to make something new, not ‘Franz featuring Russell Mael’, or ‘Sparks with Franz Ferdinand backing them’.”

Also on the show were Alabama Shakes, who performed ‘Don’t Wanna Fight‘ from their widely praised second studio album ‘Sound & Color‘. Those in the UK and anyone else who has the means can also watch this performance right now.
