Muse will play three shows in the States next month as part of the build-up to the release of their new album ‘Drones‘.

The trio are due in New York for shows at Webster Hall on May 8th and the iHeartRadio Theater a day later before moving cross-country for a gig in Los Angeles on May 15th.

‘Drones’ was recorded with co-producer Robert John ‘Mutt’ Lange and is set for release on June 6th. A plethora of festival appearances, including an intriguing headline spot at Download, are planned for the summer.

“To me, ‘Drones’ are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behaviour with no recourse,” frontman Matt Bellamy has said of the LP.

“The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. This album explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors.”
