Glastonbury resale ends after 12 minutes as organisers deny latest Prince rumours

A resale of Glastonbury tickets yesterday morning (April 19th) sold-out within 12 minutes.

The final chance for fans to attend the event in June began at 9am as tickets which had either been cancelled or returned were made available to those who had missed out on the initial scramble back in October when 135,000 tickets were snapped up within half-an-hour – a record for the festival.

Foo Fighters and Kanye West have already been confirmed as headliners for 2015, but the identity of the Pyramid Stage’s third and final main act remains undisclosed, provoking much speculation in the press.

Ladbrokes last week claimed fans were ‘desperate’ for Oasis to make a return, but had Coldplay as their favourites, while William Hill at least temporarily suspended betting on the Stone Roses putting a quiet 12 months or so to an end after a flurry of bets.

And co-organiser Emily Eavis was a little later forced to deny tabloid reports that Prince had been finally booked, but decided to pull out soon after.
