Blur debut ‘Ong Ong’ on Later…With Jools Holland

Blur used their appearance on Later…With Jools Holland last night (April 14th) to share new song ‘Ong Ong‘ with a TV audience for the first time.

Later…With Jools Holland returned to the BBC for another series and will have an extended edition Friday. It also took in performances from The Vaccines and Laura Marling among others.

Blur release the comeback album ‘The Magic Whip‘ on April 27th. It’s the first in their familiar four-piece setting since 1999.

“I view it as a great big positive punctuation mark,” Graham Coxon has told Uncut of the record. “I don’t know whether it’s the full stop at the end of a book or whether it’s a full stop at the end of a chapter. I don’t think any of us know that yet.”

“That doesn’t mean any of us are going to stop making music. Music is a constant with us. Damon will make music whether it’s with Blur or doing other things, he’ll always be meandering along making music.”
