Black Sabbath’s Ozzy Osbourne responds to Bill Ward’s request for an apology

Bill Ward and Ozzy Osbourne might be estranged bandmates, but they’re becoming firm pen-pals.

The two musicians spent yesterday (April 18th) writing letters back and forth to each other via their official websites, started by Bill Ward who, as reported by Live4ever, said he would only accept an invitation to rejoin Black Sabbath if he received an apology from Osbourne for, ‘Wrongs spoken against me’.

“There is always speculation about a true, original Sabbath lineup for the next tour or record,” he said. “With a sad heart, I have to say I will not participate in any musical undertakings until a righting of the wrongs spoken against me has been achieved.”

Osbourne has wasted no time in responding with his own letter on his own official website, but there’s no sign of an apology.

“What the fuck are you on about? I cannot apologize for comments or opinions I may have made about you in the press during Sabbath’s ’13’ album and tour – physically, you knew you were fucked,” Osbourne writes.

“Tony, Geezer and myself didn’t think you could have done a two hour set with a drum solo every night, so we made the decision to move on. With Tony’s condition we felt that time was not on our side.”
