Black Grape reformed on Saturday night (April 11th) in support of both Bez‘s We Are The Reality Party election campaign and the anti-fracking movement.

The Happy Mondays off-shoot, formed in the mid-nineties and led by Shaun Ryder, played the 700-capacity Old Granada Studios in Manchester, performing eleven songs including favourites ‘Reverend Black Grape‘ and ‘Kelly’s Heroes‘.




There was appearances too from Skittles & 8 Gold Rings, Jenna & The G’S, Backhanders, Alias Kid, Metrodome, T-Man & Black Josh (LEVELZ), Clint Boon, MC Tunes, DJ Mica, DJ Robin Smith and JM Barrington as the evening also marked the 20th anniversary of Black Grape’s debut album ‘It’s Great When Your Straight…Yeah‘, and supported the Coffee4Craig charity.
