Super Furry Animals are continuing to very gradually expand their comeback UK tour and have added a second night in Manchester.

A third gig at the Cardiff University was announced earlier this week, and now the band will play an extra show in Manchester on May 7th. There’s visits to Glasgow and London also on the horizon – full details are below.

Super Furry Animals are returning after six years to help celebrate the re-release of their 2000 album ‘Mwng‘ on May 1st. Speaking to NME, frontman Gruff Rhys was coy about the possibility of the tour sparking plans for a brand new studio album.

“It’s all been a bit last minute so these gigs we’ve got booked are all we’re doing for now that we know,” he said. “Everyone’s busy with other stuff. We all have very different lives and it would be difficult to recreate the intensity without being in the studio for 12 months at a time.”

Tour dates:

MAY
Cardiff University (1, 2, 3)
Glasgow O2 Academy (5)
Manchester Albert Hall (6, 7)
London O2 Academy Brixton (8)
