Stereophonics welcomed special guests Ronnie Wood and Tom Jones as they kicked off this year’s Teenage Cancer Trust series of concerts at London’s Royal Albert Hall last night (March 23rd).

Wood joined the band onstage for a cover of the Faces classic ‘Ooh La La‘, as well as their established version of ‘Handbags & Gladrags‘, while Jones reprised the duet ‘Mama Told Me Not To Come‘ from his 1999 album ‘Reload‘. A couple of fan recorded videos have been posted online and can be seen below.

A comedy night led by Kevin Bridges continues the charity gigs this evening, Van Morrison and special guests are next up on March 25th.

There’s scope for plenty more collaborations as the week continues what with The Who, Wilko Johnson, Paul Weller, Johnny Marr and Noel Gallagher all in town, the latter of whom is supported by the weird and wonderful world of Future Islands.
