Palma Violets will tour the UK behind their new album ‘Danger In The Club‘ next month.
With the band’s second LP due through Rough Trade on May 4th, the tour will take in dates at the Southend Chinnerys, Norwich Waterfront, Hull Fruit, York Duchess, Wakefield Hop, Cardiff Buffalo, Leicester O2 Academy, Stoke Sugarmill and Reading Bowery District from April 16th.
Palma Violets are following up their 2013 debut ‘180‘ in the wake of a fallow period in which Chilli Jesson has admitted they ‘forgot how to write songs’ after diving head-first into the many distractions of life on the road.
“We didn’t even give a shit, I couldn’t even read a book, let alone write songs,” he told DIY. “We made a conscious decision after Reading 2013 to go and write in Wales. We met these two hippy folk, they’re very spiritual people. They sing a song on our album.”
