Noel Gallagher is on top of the UK’s midweek album chart update thanks to his second High Flying Birds album ‘Chasing Yesterday‘.
The immediate competition comes from chart mainstays Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran, with the next highest new entry at #6 courtesy of Kelly Clarkson and ‘Piece By Piece‘.
It would be the ninth straight studio LP from Gallagher to go straight in at number one in the UK after his seven album run with Oasis between 1994-2008 and the 2011 solo debut ‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds‘.
