Morrissey began his UK tour as planned in Nottingham last night (March 13th) after cancelling a gig in the Netherlands earlier in the week.
“We regret to inform you that Morrissey is forced to cancel tonight’s appearance in 013, Tilburg,” a statement read to announce the canellation. “Our stage crew, as well as Morrissey’s touring party were already setting up stage and all requirements for tonight’s show when we were informed by management that Morrissey is unable to perform tonight due to flu.”
But the UK tour launched at the Nottingham Capital FM Arena minus any drama as Morrissey performed cuts from his most recent album ‘World Peace Is None Of Your Business‘ with other solo favourites such as ‘Everyday Is Like Sunday‘ and ‘I’m Throwing My Arms Around Paris‘, while he also found room for a smattering of Smiths classics.
The tour continues in Bournemouth tonight.
