The Liverpool Sound City showcase has this morning (March 25th) confirmed Edwyn Collins as its Leading Music Conference keynote speaker.
“I’m delighted to be in Liverpool for Sound City, I’ve always felt an affinity for the place,” Collins says. “Back in the Orange Juice days we were regulars in the city playing at places like Eric’s. I’ve always had great support from Liverpool and I always look forward to coming back.”
The Vaccines pair Justin Young and Freddie Cowan are also newly added for In Conversation, while Everything Everything join the How? Sessions.
Liverpool Sound City is moving to a new dockside location next month and has performances due from the likes of Fat White Family, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Slaves, Bill Ryder-Jones and headliners Belle & Sebastian.
Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips, Julian Cope, Viv Albertine, Danny Fields, James Barton and The Fall‘s Mark E Smith are also giving speeches at the event.
