Live4ever’s New Tunes Guide: SXSW special feat. Soak, The Districts and more

ntg1

The New Tunes Guide today features some of the best acts we’ve been interviewing and watching during this week’s South By Southwest Festival in Texas.

Amongst the many highlights is Soak, real name Bridie-Monds Watson, who’s set to release her debut album ‘Before We Forgot How To Dream‘ through Rough Trade on June 1st. The album follows singles such as ‘Blud’, ‘Shuvels’ and ‘B a noBody’ – the latter of which has been a New Tunes Guide highlight in the past.

The Districts are in Texas after releasing their ‘A Flourish and a Spoil’ album through Fat Possum Records earlier this year. “Supposedly, youth is wasted on the young. Not so for The Districts,” our review begins. “If their debut album ‘A Flourish and a Spoil‘ is anything to go by they aren’t wasting anything, especially their youth.”

These and six other SXSW picks can be found by scrolling through our latest collection. Find out much more about this week’s featured artists by clicking on their individual names, and you can catch up with all our previous editions direct through the New Tunes Guide logo above.
