A touch more of Brandon Flowers‘ forthcoming second solo album has been revealed by the Killers frontman.
With ‘The Desired Effect‘ due on May 18th, a short video entitled ‘DRUMS’ has been posted to YouTube, and can be seen below. Flowers’ new solo effort is partly the result of half of his band requiring another long break from music, and he’s used the opportunity to chase ‘change’ in the studio with producer Ariel Rechtshaid.
“It’s nice to steer the ship and that’s what you’d think I’d do on my own album, but I’m letting Ariel take over every now and then,” he told NME.
“That’s led to some really exciting things and sounds I would never have used. As I’ve gotten older I’m much more open to that – I’m much more open to peoples’ strengths and really trying to utilise them – and that’s where Ariel comes into the picture.”
Brandon Flowers plays Webster Hall in New York on March 24th.
