The Charlatans‘ new album ‘Modern Nature‘ has beaten Gaz Coombes‘ excellent second solo effort ‘Matador‘ to the top of this week’s UK Record Store Chart.

There’s also high new entries for Kitty Davis & Lewis, Pond and Papa Roach, while Belle & Sebastian are holding strong at #3 with ‘Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance‘.

Elsewhere, The War On Drugs‘ sublime ‘Lost In The Dream‘ is at #9 while First Aid Kit have climbed with ‘Stay Gold‘.
