There’s no rest for the wicked, certainly not for Slaves anyway who have premiered yet another slice of razor-sharp garage grit on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show.

Feed The Mantaray’ very quickly follows ‘The Hunter‘ and is, according to Isaac Holman, a result of being ‘annoyed in his flat’ at some noisy neighbours.

It’s due to form a part of Slaves’ debut album ‘Are You Satisfied‘, which is now confirmed for release on June 1st. It was recorded with producer Jolyon Thomas at London’s Strongrooms after a run of similarly highly charged singles punctuated 2014, a year which began with us sitting down with the duo at the South By Southwest Festival.

“Music doesn’t have to have any meaning to incite feeling in someone,” Laurie Vincent told us. “The way someone plays guitar, like Jimi Hendrix, he can make someone feel amazing. Just the sound of your music can incite passion in people, so you don’t have say anything directly at politicians or cause a fuss.”
