A black and white, noir video for Pete Doherty‘s solo track ‘Flags Of The Old Regime‘ has been released and can be seen here.

Doherty is supporting the Amy Winehouse Foundation with the single. It’ll be out on March 9th with all proceeds going towards the charity which works to prevent the misuse of alcohol and drugs amongst young people.

His one-time Babyshambles bandmate Drew McConnell contributes, as does Jamie Morrison on drums, Stephen Large on keys and producer Stephen Street on acoustic guitar and percussion. Strings were arranged by John Metcalfe of the Durutti Column.

This weekend, the Libertines man will play two solo shows on the same night at the Brixton Jamm in London. He unveiled the gigs with a letter sent to NME which reads: “It’s been a long old Bangkok’s half hour. But now the Lad ‘imself is heading Brixton sides to stone the crows awhile. Doo dah diddly!”
