Modest Mouse delay album release but share new track ‘Best Room’

Modest Mouse have slightly delayed the release of their new album ‘Strangers To Ourselves‘, but have aimed to appease impatient fans by sharing another cut from the record. Have a listen to ‘Best Room‘ below.

The band’s first studio album since 2007’s ‘We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank‘ will now be out on March 16th, a little later than the original March 3rd date. It was recorded at Ice Cream Party in Portland, Oregon and you’ll find The Shins James Mercer providing backing vocals throughout.

The full tracklist has been revealed too, and shows that the record will be opened by its title-track, closely followed by ‘Lampshades On Fire‘, which first signalled the band’s return late last year.
