The Prodigy‘s new album ‘The Day Is My Enemy‘ has been confirmed for release on March 30th.

It’ll be preceded with lead single ‘Nasty Nasty‘ later this month and is their first since 2009’s ‘Invaders Must Die‘. Album track ‘Ibiza‘ is expected to to feature a contribution from the new poster boys for UK gutter grime, Sleaford Mods.

Liam Howlett has already told Q that the album will be a reaction to ‘all that DJ bollocks and tutorials on YouTube shit’ which he believes is currently dominating dance music.

In similar comments made to the London Evening Standard, he went further: “We’ve always been like a big broom that’s just cleaning up – wiping the floor,” he said. “They don’t bother us. It’s mainly DJs. If the dance scene is made up of DJs, that don’t bother us.

“We’re in different zones to them. We don’t make music like those kind of acts. We view ourselves as in our own kind of area. We’re fans of some people out there, but when you’ve got a scene built on DJs, that’s not healthy. We need more bands that make this kind of music.”
