The Afghan Whigs have wasted little time in returning to their 2014 record ‘Do To The Beast‘, and who can blame them?

One of Live4ever’s essential albums of last year is being flaunted with an official video for ‘The Lottery‘ which can be seen at this link. Self-directed, it is result of the band wanting to present their monitor engineer Ryan O’Hara to the world, as Greg Dulli explains:

“Meet Ryan O’Hara, our monitor engineer,” he said. “He wakes up every day with a smile on his face and something positive to share with you. Every night during the gig he performs a parallel show behind the board and it’s phenomenal to watch. Occasionally, I’ll forget to sing because I’m watching him turn into Bez from Happy Mondays. But that’s rock and roll for you. It keeps you young.”

The Afghan Whigs start a European tour next month, opening with gigs in Dublin, Edinburgh and London.
