Royal Blood, The War On Drugs, The Maccabees, The Cribs and Django Django are among the many highlights on another impressive BBC 6Music Festival line-up.
The second edition of the event will be held in Tyneside – more specifically across three nights from February 20th to February 22nd at the O2 Academy in Newcastle and The Sage in Gateshead.
“Last year’s first ever 6 Music Festival was an incredible weekend featuring a fabulous line-up of music plus conversation at the Festival Fringe,” 6Music DJ Lauren Laverne has said. “It was great to meet so many of our listeners as we listened to the great and good perform together. This year’s 6 Music Festival is going to be one to remember.”
There’s plenty more treats on the bill in the form of Jamie T, Sleater-Kinney, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Hot Chip, Young Fathers, Father John Misty, Kate Tempest, The Fall, Jungle, Lonelady, The Charlatans, Wire, Public Service Broadcasting, Gruff Rhys, King Creosote, Glass Animals, Gaz Coombes, Simian Mobile Disco, Mogwai, British Sea Power, Maximo Park, Jon Hopkins, Ghostpoet and Villagers.
