New Tame Impala album ‘confirmed’ for this year

A new album from Tame Impala has apparently been confirmed for this year via the medium of an illicit email sent out by the Australian management company Spinning Top, reports Consequence Of Sound.

We’ve been twiddling our thumbs rather impatiently waiting for Kevin Parker to be good enough to disclose some plans for the follow-up to 2012’s outstanding ‘Lonerism‘, but it seems Spinning Top have now done the job for him, confirming new albums from Tame Impala, POND, The Growl and others during 2015.

The nature of the LP has also been something of a mystery, but keyboard player Jay Watson did finally give an update to Faster Louder late last year, revealing:

“It’s probably gonna be less rock again and more electronic again, even more than the last one. It’s gonna be awesome, everything he does is awesome. I guess probably cause he knows someone like me’ll get drunk and then say stuff about it in interviews! Which is a very real possibility. It’s probably best I don’t say anything because I’ll get in more trouble than you will.”
