Elbow, The Vaccines and You Me At Six will be performing at various intimate venues around the UK next month in support of the War Child charity.

The Passport Back To The Bars initiative also includes recently reconciled Ride pair Mark Gardener and Andy Bell, Duran Duran and Bastille, and starts on February 16th with the newly announced Vaccines performing at the Dublin Castle in London.

“We’re really honoured and excited to be involved with War Child again,” Justin Young of the band says. “Whilst we scramble for gig tickets, countless children across the world continue to have their lives affected by war. It’s important never to forget that.”

Elbow, meanwhile, play the Roadhouse in Manchester on February 24th. “Elbow are proud to have been associated with War Child for over a decade,” Guy Garvey remarks. “The work that War Child continues to do throughout the world is truly humbling.  We were part of the original Passport shows, and to be able to participate again on its 10th anniversary is amazing. To return to The Roadhouse, our spiritual home in Manchester, just makes it even better.”

“Many people in music spoke to War Child about wanting to do something in response to the crisis for children in Iraq, Syria, Gaza and other places,” Ben Knowles, War Child’s director of music, adds.

“This response from so many great acts, doing something unique to encourage fans to support War Child is incredible. These will be the smallest gigs that can make the biggest difference. We thank all the acts, O2, MMF and The BRITs for all their support.”
