The Jesus & Mary Chain have added a date at Bilbao BBK Live to their 30th anniversary ‘Psychocandy‘ celebrations.
They’ll be performing the album in full at the event, which runs from July 9th-11th next year and has also added Future Islands, Kodaline and others to its bill.
The Jesus & Mary Chain began the anniversary gigs via a UK tour earlier this year, and will also be at Psych Fest in Austin next year after more British dates in February.
“‘Psychocandy’ was meant to be a kick in the teeth to all of those who stood in our way at the time, which was practically the whole music industry,” Jim Reid has previously said.
“In 1985 there were a great many people who predicted no more than a six month life span for The Mary Chain. To celebrate the approaching 30th anniversary of the album, we would like to perform it in its entirety. We will also perform key songs from that period that did not feature on the album.”
