Recently reconciled Ride duo Mark Gardener and Andy Bell are amongst those who have signed up for a series of intimate gigs on behalf of the War Child charity.

More details on the gigs will be released in the new year, for now it’s been disclosed that the shows will be held between February 16th-24th, and that Duran Duran and Bastille are also involved.

“2014 saw more people displaced by war than any year since World War II,” War Child’s director of music Ben Knowles says. “It is a global emergency. These child refugees have no passports. They don’t get to choose where war sends them. The support of these bands and the generosity of music fans can send them hope.”

Gardener and Bell, along with Loz Colbert and Steve Queralt, confirmed their reunion in November for a series of European festival and headline dates, just a short time after Bell’s former band Beady Eye had publicly announced their final demise.
