Morrissey singles out O2 Arena as best gig of European tour

With touring wrapped up for the year, Morrissey has been reflecting on his most recent live dates and, since it’s Morrissey, has ranked them into a tidy list of 17.

“What I may risk calling our best tour ever has now ended, and my written words of thanks to all who came along to watch and listen are strong enough to burn a hole through the North Pole,” Morrissey has written on fansite True To You. “It is gratifying to have so much support around the world, and the drone of my repetitive thanks could somehow never say enough.”

He’s singled out the gig at London’s O2 Arena as his favourite of the tour, followed by shows in Dublin, Belgrade, Paris and Helsinki.

Morrissey started 2014 by signing a record deal with Harvest in preparation for the release of ‘World Peace Is None Of Your Business‘, but alas not too long after his backing band could be found on stage wearing t-shirts bearing the slogan ‘Fuck Harvest’, which tells its own story of how the relationship turned out.
