Kasabian and Royal Blood are leading the nominations for the 2015 NME Awards with nods in all four of the major categories.
The two group are up for Best British Band, where they’ll no doubt face stiff competition from Arctic Monkeys, and are also nominated for Best Album, Best Live Band and Best Track. Royal Blood too have mentions in the Best New Band and Best Video sections.
There’ll be interest for perennial NME favourites Oasis when the ceremony takes place in London on February 18th; Noel Gallagher is up for Best Track thanks to ‘In The Heat Of The Moment‘ and is also nominated for Hero Of The Year. Liam Gallagher‘s intermittent dabbles with Twitter have been enough for a place on the Best Band Social Media shortlist, while the re-released version of ‘Definitely Maybe‘ is in with a chance of Reissue Of The Year.
