The Falls Festival has suffered a second blow with the news that Julian Casablancas & The Voidz will no longer be playing the Australian event later this month.

As part of a wider cancellation of dates, Julian Casablancas’ solo vehicle has also pulled out of the Southbound Festival as Australia’s summer gets into full swing, and join Robyn+Royksopp in withdrawing from Falls.

“Unfortunately, due to unforeseen logistical circumstances, we must cancel our planned trip to Australia and Asia,” a band statement reads. “The band is hoping to announce new dates sometime in the New Year and are disappointed that it can’t be right now and are very sorry for all and any inconvenience.”

Julian Casablancas released ‘Tyranny‘, his second solo album but first officially with The Voidz, back in September on his own Cult Records label. It keeps him busy after two studio albums in three years with The Strokes via 2011’s ‘Angles‘ and 2013’s ‘Comedown Machine‘.
