Wembley Stadium will host AC/DC next summer as part of the veteran rock band’s live plans behind their new album ‘Rock Or Bust‘.
AC/DC will be at Wembley on July 4th 2015, and also have outdoor UK and Ireland gigs booked at Glasgow’s Hampden Park on June 28th and at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on July 1st.
The Glasgow date suggests the band will be cutting it fine if they are to headline next year’s Glastonbury festival, as most bookies have been predicting they will do for some time. Anyway, frontman Brian Johnson and guitarist Angus Young didn’t seem all that enthused with the idea when interview by BBC 6Music last month.
“I don’t know if there’s rock and roll there,” Johnson said. “I don’t know, please don’t ask me, I’m really not up on it. I thought it was wellies and corporate, I don’t know.”
“If they ask, OK,” Young added. “If they ask I’ll say he sent us, Shaun sent us.”
