Tickets for Ride‘s comeback tour, which will see them playing live together for the first time in the best part of two decades, sold out within half an hour of going on sale this morning (November 21st).

The band, led by frontman Mark Gardener and guitarist Andy Bell, confirmed on Wednesday what Primavera Sound had ensured was the worst kept secret in music by officially announcing a comeback tour for the spring of next year, which takes in headline dates around Europe and North America as well as festival appearances at the aforementioned Primavera and Field Day in London.

“People bought our records first time round,” Gardener has told NME of their return. “But our music has grown in significance since we’ve been away. We want to give the people what they want. We’d be idiots to go out and play a new album, but that’s not to say we wouldn’t make new music.”

2015 tour dates:

MAY
Glasgow Barrowland (22)
Manchester Albert Hall (23)
London Roundhouse (24)
Amsterdam Paradiso (26)
Paris Olympia (27)
Barcelona Primavera Festival (29)

JUNE
Toronto DanForth Music Hall (2)
New York Terminal 5 (4)
London Field Day (7)
