One of the first major headliners for next year’s UK summer festival season has been confirmed after Reading and Leeds released some of its earliest acts for 2015 yesterday evening (November 25th).

Metallica will top the double event’s Main Stage in 2015 after the band brought heavy metal to the tranquil surroundings of Glastonbury for the first time back in June. We know they’ll be joined by Jamie T, who returned this year after a lengthy break with ‘Carry On The Grudge‘, while Run The Jewels, Refused, Manchester Orchestra, Pierce The Veil and Wilkinson have also signed up.

Live4ever was at the Leeds site for this year’s leg, when our review of final night headliners Arctic Monkeys read:

“Songs like ‘Do I Wanna Know?‘ and ‘Don’t Sit Down ‘Cause I Moved Your Chair’ are given more gravity. They rumble along almost expectantly, certain of their brilliance. It’s intense and almost writhing, not your usual raucous headline set that relies solely on an audience’s recognition. This is deliberate and striking, the Arctic Monkeys taking control, and giving an epic finale.”
