Muse will bring their spectacular live show to the tip of the 2015 Download Festival’s Saturday night bill, it has been revealed.

Joining the previously confirmed Slipknot, Muse will headline the event on June 13th, leading a Saturday line-up which also features Faith No More, A Day To Remember and second stage headliner Marilyn Manson.

On the opening night topped by Slipknot, meanwhile, are Judas Priest and Five Finger Death Punch, with Black Stone Cherry headlining the second stage that evening. Download was led earlier this year by Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park and Aerosmith.

Muse are currently hard at work in the studio with a view to releasing a new album in the summer of 2015 – that was the prediction made by frontman Matt Bellamy on Twitter back in June anyway, when he also said the band were pushing for a heavier sound when compared to the dubstep-inspired virtues of 2012’s ‘The 2nd Law‘.
