Morrissey has enlisted the help of former Breeders member Mando Lopez after returning to the stage in Hannover earlier this week, reports W.E.N.N.

Yet more tour dates were cancelled by the singer recently, apparently due to a bout of ‘flu which spread through the camp, and his comeback on Wednesday evening (November 5th) apparently signalled the quiet arrival of Lopez on bass in the place of Solomon Walker.

Gigs in France and Switzerland were pulled due to the illness, as explained with a short statement on fansite True To You; “Due to ongoing influenza amongst band and crew members tonight’s show at Lausanne (Switzerland) cannot take place,” it said. “It is hoped that the show will be re-scheduled for December. Apologies are offered for any inconvenience.”

Morrissey’s tour will bring him to the UK for a single date at the O2 Arena in London later this month when he is to be supported by Anna Calvi.
