Jamie T won’t be heading to mainland Europe after completing a tour of the UK via two nights at London’s Alexandra Palace due to medical advice.
The London-based songwriter, who returned from a long break with ‘Carry On The Grudge‘ in September, had been hoping to play gigs in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Amsterdam before the end of this month, but has confirmed their cancellation in a post on Facebook.
“Jamie wishes to apologise to all ticket holders for any inconvenience this may cause,” it reads. “Tickets will remain valid and details for the rescheduled shows will be announced shortly.”
We hadn’t heard much from Jamie T since 2009’s ‘Kings & Queens‘, but he told Faster Louder not too long ago that the break didn’t put him under any increased pressure as, most of what he came back to is ‘dire’ anyway.
“As for being relevant in the modern age, well you grow up as an artist so your music is always going to change and you hope it’s relevant, but I don’t want to worry too much about that because most of the shit around today is dire,” he said.
