The Courteeners were forced off stage early in London on Friday night (November 7th) after someone in the crowd lit a flare shortly into a rendition of ‘Not Nineteen Forever‘.

Unsurprisingly, the moment was captured on a mobile phone, has been uploaded to YouTube, and can be seen below.

To be fair to the band, a Facebook statement had been issued prior to the show warning they would be forced into just such an early exit should anything untoward appear after similar problems had, ahem, flared up during previous shows on their UK tour.

“We’ve been advised by authorities and venues that if any smoke bombs or flares are let off at our gigs then we must stop the show,” it read. “Do not bring them to gigs.”

The Courteeners’ UK tour will continue in Nottingham tonight and remains active until November 21st when a final date is due at Liverpool’s Echo Arena.
