Arctic Monkeys and Arcade Fire have both added a place on the shortlist for Headliner Of The Year at the 2014 European Festival Awards to the same nomination they received for the UK Festival Awards earlier this month.
On this occasion, the two bands are nominated along side Imagine Dragons, Jack White, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Outkast, Pearl Jam, Queens Of The Stone Age, Stromae and The Black Keys, while Arctic Monkeys again get a nod for Anthem Of The Year thanks to ‘R U Mine?‘.
Steve Jenner, co-Founder and director of both these awards and the aforementioned UK edition, comments: “With more festivals from more countries participating in these awards than previously, we were expecting an increase in fan engagement but not to this extent – we are blown away by the response!”
