She & Him were on US television on Wednesday night (October 29th) promoting their forthcoming covers album ‘Classics‘.
Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward performed Dusty Springfield’s ‘Stay Awhile‘, with the help of The Roots, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon – check it out below.
‘Classics’ is out in December, when it will present 13 covers recorded with a 20-piece orchestra. “We are incredibly excited to release a record of our favorite songs,” Deschanel has said.
“It was a dream of ours to record these songs in a way that highlighted the brilliance of the songwriting and the beauty of their melodies. We had a wonderful time making the record and we hope people have a wonderful time listening to it.”
The covers record comes in the wake of last year’s ‘Capitol Studios Sessions‘ EP, while their previous full length album, ‘Volume 3‘, came out a little earlier in the May of 2013.
