Noel Gallagher will join Johnny Marr on stage in London next week – that’s according to a NME source anyway.

Marr is on a tour of the UK in support of his second solo LP ‘Playland‘, and is rumoured to have invited his buddy along to the show at the Brixton Academy this coming Thursday (October 23rd) for an appearance ‘at some point in the set’.

The two Manchester musicians have a long-standing friendship; Gallagher often describes Marr as one of the earliest Oasis fans, while their relationship was rekindled in the studio this year during the recording of Noel Gallagher’s second solo album ‘Chasing Yesterday‘. Johnny Marr’s contribution to closing track ‘Ballad Of The Mighty I‘ is expected to be the second single lifted from the LP before it is released in March 2015.

The UK tour also includes a visit to the Manchester Apollo on the 25th and ends in Leeds on the 29th.
