A perceived lack of media exposure was sighted by Morrissey as one of the main reasons for a swift fallout between himself and Harvest Records; “I should like to finally make it clear that I have not received any television invitations – worldwide! – to either discuss World peace is none of your business, or even to sing any songs from the album,” he wrote on fansite True To You.
The parting ways, less than a year on from signing a deal with the label, took a decidedly Morrissey twist last week when his backing band were snapped on Twitter proudly sporting ‘Fuck Harvest’ t-shirts on stage. In retaliation, Harvest began selling the shirts as official merchandise on their website.
