More studio recordings made by Richard Wright before his death in 2008 could be used on an upcoming Dave Gilmour solo album, the Pink Floyd singer and guitarist has revealed.

During an interview with BBC 6Music (via NME), Gilmour confirmed the forthcoming ‘Endless River‘ album from Pink Floyd, which is due out next month and features material worked on primarily two decades ago by Wright, Gilmour and Nick Mason, will be the last from the legendary band, but added that there is more contributions from his late bandmate available to use in the future.

“This is the last thing that’ll be out from us,” he said. “I’m pretty certain that there will not be a follow up to this. Polly, my wife, thought that would be a very good lyrical idea to go out on. It’s a shame but this is the end.”

“I have a little bit of Rick playing from my solo stuff that will hopefully appear on my next solo album, but not a Pink Floyd album,” he added.

‘The Endless River’s genesis comes from the sessions which resulted in the 1994 album ‘The Division Bell‘.
