If there is a growing trend for sixties psychedelia infecting the latest generation of new bands, then surely the leading exponents of the movement are Temples.
With a look and sound that would make Syd Barrett blush with pride, the band capitalised on their early promise in a big way this year with the release of debut album ‘Sun Structures‘, an album whose many virtues they are currently sharing with the American public on a comprehensive tour. Live4ever was in attendance when the stage-show reached New York last night (October 27th) for a gig at the Irving Plaza. Check out the full gallery by clicking on the lead image above.
Temples’ North American tour continues in Washington D.C. tonight and, after its conclusion on November 1st, the band will start European dates which bring them to the UK by the end of that month.
Meanwhile, ‘Sun Structures’ is being revisited on November 10th in a new form under the title ‘Sun Restructured‘; producers Erol Alkan and Richard Norris, as Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve, are presenting alternate versions of ‘Sand Dance‘, ‘Shelter Song‘, ‘A Question Isn’t Answered‘, ‘The Golden Throne‘ and ‘Move With The Season‘.
