BBC Radio 1 last night (October 16th) premiered the first track to be lifted from Foo Fighters‘ new album ‘Sonic Highways‘ – have a listen to ‘Something From Nothing‘ below.

‘Sonic Highways’ is out on November 10th and was recorded in various US cities with various special guests, including Dolly Parton, Public Enemy‘s Chuck D and Joan Jett. The story of its creation was captured in documentary form and will be told in the UK later this month on BBC Four.

Meanwhile, Dave Grohl was on stage with Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell and his Foos bandmate Taylor Hawkins in New York earlier this week to celebrate the launch of a new book from photographer Danny Clinch.

They were at the McKittrick Hotel to perform covers of The Rolling Stones‘ ‘Miss You‘ and Bob Dylan‘s ‘From  Buick 6‘. Follow this link to have a watch of some fan footage of the evening’s entertainment.
