Another piece of the ‘Sonic Highways‘ jigsaw has been released by Foo Fighters before the album is out on November 10th. Have a listen to ‘Congregation‘ below.

Recorded at Nashville’s Southern Ground studios, the track features a contribution from Zac Brown – one of a number of guests enlisted by Dave Grohl during the recording of his band’s eighth studio album.

Indeed the eight-song tracklist was recorded individually with the guests in various US cities – as well as Nashville those being Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York, Seattle and Washington D.C., a process currently being documented with an eight-part HBO special in the States.

“This album is instantly recognisable as a Foo Fighters record, but there’s something deeper and more musical to it,” Grohl has previously said of the LP. “I think that these cities and these people influenced us to stretch out and explore new territory, without losing our ‘sound’.”
