Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon to curate new US festival

The ever elusive Justin Vernon will host his own festival in Wisconsin next summer, reports Paste.

Bon Iver‘s reluctant leader has seemingly singled out his hometown’s Foster Farm location, boasting a 25,000 capacity, for the two-day event which is to take place between July 17th-18th next year across two stages and one tent. As yet, there hasn’t been any acts confirmed.

Despite telling USA Today a year ago that he didn’t have any particular desire to return to Bon Iver – more specifically saying, “I really have to be in a specific headspace to even begin to illuminate an idea that would create another Bon Iver record, and I’m just not there,” he did, albeit very briefly, do just that in July when the new track ‘Heavenly Father’ was offered to the soundtrack of Zach Braff’s movie Wish You Were Here.

Also on the soundtrack was ‘Holocene‘, which was first seen on Bon Iver’s most recent, self-titled album.
