Belle & Sebastian have shared the first single from their new album ‘Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance‘ shortly after details of a UK tour for May next year were announced.
‘The Party Line‘ is up on YouTube now (below), and gives us a first feel for the recording sessions which took place earlier this year in Atlanta with producer Ben H. Allen III. The album is due out on January 19th 2015 through Matador Records.
Those newly announced UK tour dates add to other shows which are coming up sporadically in Europe and North America next year, and start at Cardiff’s St David’s Hall on May 3rd 2015. From there, they move on to the Bristol Colson Hall and remain in England until May 22nd when a standout date at the Glasgow Hydro Arena ends the headline shows.
They will though be back in action just a short time later to lead Liverpool Sound City when it moves to its new home on the Bramley-Moore Dock.
